Chapter 23

When we got outside Zel and Ganon looked up at me and Detaleny.

"Here is our problem guys. Instead of stalling Fran, he was sitting on his ass." I said to them.

"In that case, we could use him as bait." Zel said.

"No Eliza is bait. Detaleny can be backup bait if she fails to cooperate. Won't you Parker?" I said, turning to him.

"But I__" He started.

"No buts, Fran came out bitching at us, so now you will do as I say. If I need you to be bait, you will be bait and if you cooperate, you won't get hurt." I said to him.

"Rosalie,how exactly is Pete gonna know to fall in this trap if Fran tells him about it?" Ganon brought up.

"Well, looks like we're going to need to get to him before she does, now doesn't it?" I snapped back. He had a valid point, so we had little to no time to waste. I turned back to Detaleny.

"Parker, what time does the fat bastard get home?" I asked him.

"Usually around five-thirty." He said.

"Shit. We have an hour." I said. The guys kept digging. Fran didn't come out again.

Five 'O clock rolled around and they were almost done. I glanced at my watch.

"Alright, I will go get the bait, you guys keep digging, Parker, you come with me." I said to him. He followed. I walked back into the mansion and up the stairs and knocked on the door. Veronica answered.

"I'm here for Eliza." I said to her. She stepped away from the door as Eliza approached.

"Come with us." I said.

"Why?" She started. I got pissed and had no time for her bullshit.

"You will do as I say." I snapped at her. Luckily she followed. We walked back outside with the guys. We were going to discuss the plan to get this to work.

Chapter 22

As we dug the pit, Fran came outside. NOOOT part of the plan. At. All. Where was Detaleny?

"What are you doing to my back yard?" She yelled to us. I looked up, with dirt all over me.

"Just a little gardening. We're planting a large tree." I said to her. She was pissed. Seriously pissed.

"Well you can take your shovel and plant trees elsewhere. Not in my back yard." She yelled.

"How about if I took this shovel and planted it in your ass?" Ganon muttered. He apparently thought it was under his breath, but it was not.

"Excuse me?" She asked.

"You're excused ma'am." Zel said and kept digging.

"You keep that up and that will be your grave site." She said.

"Oh? Is that a threat? I sense a little hostility here. nuh uh uh, temper, temper Fran. You don't want to raise your blood pressure now do you?" Zel said. Oh, was he a smart ass.

"Quit being a smart ass Zel before I throw you out." Fran said angrily as she stormed off towards the house.

"Better I be a smart ass than a dumb ass!" He yelled back. She raised a hand at him.

"That bitch just flipped me off." Zel said to me.

I was pissed at why Detaleny wasn't stalling her. She was not supposed to see this. I went inside to find Detaleny.

"Parker!" I yelled to him.

"Whats up?" He asked.

"You failed to distract Fran you imbecile!" I yelled at him.

"Was I supposed to do that now?" He asked. I thought I was going to hit him in the face.

"Yes you tard, if you want to live, you will do as I say." I snapped at him. He followed me outside.
